StringLength (FPScript)
Determines the number of characters in a string.
Syntax
StringLength(String)
The syntax of the StringLength function consists of the following parts:

String |
String for which the length is to be determined. Permitted data structures are scalar value, data series und data matrix. Supported data types are string. |
Remarks
The data type of the result is always 32-bit integer.
The structure of the result corresponds to that of the argument String.
If an argument is a list, then the first element in the list is taken. If this is also a list, then the process is repeated.

Results in 18. |
StringLength({"M312", "M344624", "M99"}) |
Results in {4, 7, 3}. |
